My Name is Thomas aka The Polygonist. I am a 3d abstract artist since about 20 years in the digital Space. I would not call myself an artist in the classical sense, who tries to master a certain technique. I see myself more as a historian or archaeologist who tries to observe and reflect the present and human nature with the means of art. I call myself a Digital Alchemist. Not an Artist in a modern language, but like an Artifex in the classical way. The computer is my laboratory, the software the oven where i puts into my ingredients.
The human being is very probably one of the most complex organisms, which exists in our universe. This is by far not as enormous in its dimensions and effects as a sun, a planet or even a black hole, but its inner processes and the complexity of its system are more extensive than anything else that is known at least to us at the moment. The human being is able, in contrast to other species on our earth, to explore and also to inhabit every other point on his celestial body. He is able to adapt to the external conditions; his climatic as well as elementary conditions. Likewise it succeeds to explore its own solar system and also to colonize it under certain circumstances. The jump into another system is only a question of centuries, not a question of his biological/evolutionary abilities. A planet or also only a star in a system is there at the point at which it is exactly in the correct position in which it has to carry out its tasks. If it deviates also only one degree from this position it is well possible that it ceases to exist. The human being as a race or also as an individual possesses in contrast to this the abilities to be everywhere at any time and also to work. An animal e.g. against it cannot change its environment elementary. If one considers therefore where the human being comes from and what he has done in the meantime everything and has also created, one does not come, however, to make the statement that he possesses at the same time the abilities to uncouple himself from all natural processes and to ignore these also. Just as he explores and can create great things, he is able to do void things and to occupy himself with void things, to fight and to exterminate each other. His self-reference is so enormous, his idea that he is alone so big, that he can believe there exists around him nothing true more. There is therefore only one being to which he resembles in this point.....a God. Show less
